Blue green waters
Salty air that blows my hair
A seagull flies high in the air
Laughter from children swimming in ocean waves
Mothers yell while browsing their cells at kids that misbehave
Boogie boards gliding by
Teenage boys with a gleam in their eye
Couples walk hand in hand
Along the shoreline and the sand
Young, tan ladies lay in the sun
Fit, muscled athletes run for fun
A boat in the distance sails away
Looking like a portrait in a carefree way
Seashells scattered on the ground
If pressed against your ear, you hear an ocean sound
Men are fishing on the pier
While spouses read books they hold dear
Sea turtles swim near the top of the water
Bringing happiness to small daughters
A rainbow painted across the ocean
Calls attention and steers emotion
Dolphins playing put on a show
Providing entertainment and casting a glow
The warmth of the sun burns into my skin
Building serenity deep within
The sound of waves crashing into the sand
A state of tranquility I understand
