I'm Standing Tall

I'm standing tall

I may want to roam

But at least I'm safe in my home

I'm standing tall because I avoid the beach

I keep socializing out of reach

You laugh and play throughout the day

I hope the virus doesn't hit you in a nasty way

I'm standing tall, my friend

I'll self isolate until Covid-19 come to an end

I am lonely, it seems

I think I'll take a walk outside under the warm sunbeams

I'm standing tall, but kind of blue

You better believe I'll stick to my decision like glue

Going stir crazy while I write

Imagining I am spreading out my wings like a bird in flight

I'm standing tall even though I want to roam

I'll gladly enjoy my family's company while being stuck at home
