Motherhood has ups and downs
Dancing awkwardly through life
We help create tiny humans soar like a kite
It isn't always pleasant
You'll fall and hit your face
Standing up with a bruise
We smile with feminine grace
Teaching the young to be wise and mastering their dreams
Saving dollars and going without so they can be part of a team
Laughing through the tears we all fess up and own
Walking through mazes until our children are grown
Helping create smiles that boosts self confidence and and bliss
Delicately taking care of bruises and soothing with a kiss
Knowing when to stand your ground and not melt to their cries
Setting boundaries with discipline while ignoring pleading eyes
Beautiful, but aged, we are the comfort of the home
For we ensure our family is never truly alone
