The people, our generation, this repetitive life
The racism, the violence, all comes out in strife
We pray for our nations and let out the cries
We pester our neighbors until someone dies
We use social media to stalk and to gloat
And get offended when someone tells a joke
People follow what they think is God's plan
Yet turn away when we should offer a helping hand
We're ignorant, blind, and stand apart
Yet the world thinks mankind is absurdly smart
Lacking common sense and embracing the books
Too focused on how we all should look
If we, the people, can stand hand in hand
Maybe we have a chance of becoming a better man
